ABOUT AMANDA KELSO
From the Beginning
Amanda Kelso was born in Tauranga, New Zealand in 1997. Currently living in Auckland, New Zealand, Kelso is a multimedia artist, who uses photography and video to investigate subjects of cultural identity, genealogical connections, stereotypes and untold stories.
Best ideas for Amanda comes from time with family. The heart of most project's Kelso has created if family. Personal experiences of herself or family members shape the project Plastic and "I Knew the Maori's".
Amanda enjoys becoming as much of a researcher as she is a photographer. Exploring new and interesting topics, and creating beautifully imagery out of the evidence gained.
Documentary, Portraiture, and Photojournalism are just a few of Amanda's strongest genre's explored.
